Becoming a volunteer

Becoming a volunteer at the Écomusée d’Alsace means giving your time to work together with other volunteers to help the museum develop. It’s also a great opportunity for meeting people, for passing on your knowledge and expertise to others and for enjoying intergenerational dialogue.

If you have time on your hands and you’d like to take part in the development of the activities of the Écomusée d'Alsace, join our team of volunteers!

You could be working on the renovation and maintenance of the buildings, you could be doing work in the fields and in the gardens, you could be helping make fruit brandy and costumes, taking part in cooking demonstrations and in the daily happenings and special events of the village. There’s a huge choice of things to do at the Écomusée d’Alsace!

Join one of the volunteer groups

Écomusée d’Alsace volunteers are split into several groups. When you join, have a look at them and choose the group which best suits your centres of interest, your knowledge and what you hope to do as a volunteer in the museum. No worries, the other volunteers will be more than willing to give you a helping hand!

Becoming a member of the Écomusée d'Alsace Association

If you enjoyed your latest visit to the museum and you identify with the Écomusée d’Alsace values and projects, but you don’t have time to invest in them, you can support the museum by joining the Écomusée d'Alsace Association.

All you have to do is to fill in the annual membership form and send it to us, along with the payment for your membership. The Association is a legally-recognised charity, which means that donations, which include membership fees, entitle you to a tax deduction, which works out at 66% of the annual membership fee.

Becoming an ambassador of the Écomusée d'Alsace

If you want to increase awareness of the museum in Alsace and elsewhere and take part in the museum’s communication operations, then why not become an ambassador of the Écomusée d'Alsace and help promote the region as a whole!
